Vintage Holkham Pottery Lamp Base

A truly charming little piece, this whimsical lamp base is shaped in the style of a traditional old-fashioned handled candle holder, often referred to as a 'Wee Willie Winkie'.

Finished in a soft white glaze, the ceramic base is delicately adorned with three fluttering butterflies and a subtle gold gilt band—details that feel lifted straight from an English garden in bloom.

The base is marked underneath with 'HOLKHAM ENGLAND L527' and was produced by Holkham Pottery in Norfolk.

Holkham Pottery was associated with Holkham Hall and operated from the early 1950s until 2007, producing decorative and functional ceramics. While the exact age of this piece is unknown, it is believed to date from the mid-to-late 20th century.

There is minor wear and gentle crazing to the glaze, consistent with age, but no cracks or chips.
